The Mason Nunatak is a 1.5 km long nunatak in the southern East Antarctic Victoria Land . It rises at the northwest end of the Meteorite Hills in the Darwin Mountains .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 2001 after Brian Mason of the Smithsonian Institution , who examined and classified the meteorites found between 1977 and 1984 as part of the United States Antarctic Program .
