Mason Musso (born March 17, 1989 in Garland , Texas ) is an American guitarist, singer and songwriter. He was a singer with the pop band Metro Station until they split up in March 2010.

Life

Mason Musso is the son of Samuel and Katherine Musso. He has two brothers, Mitchel and Marc Musso . After completing his not unproblematic school days, he founded the band Metro Station . After touring almost continuously between 2007 and 2010, the band broke up. He moved to California and was quiet for a while until he released the second Metro Station album "In The Middle Of The Night" in 2013. But he was unable to follow up on the earlier success with either the album or the single "I Still Love You".

In mid-2011 two new songs by him were released. He published one on the website of his friend "Chris Young The Rapper", who also sings along with the song "Fire". He published the second song "Ain't so high" on Youtube in 2011 under the name Metro Station.

Career

In 2006, he met Trace Cyrus on the set of Hannah Montana . Together with Blake Healy they formed the band Metro Station . Shortly afterwards they took the drummer Anthony Improgo, whom they discovered on Myspace, into the band. They released their first song Seventeen Forever on Myspace . This got them a record deal with Columbia Records . They produced their debut album Metro Station within a year. It contained the songs Seventeen Forever , Shake It , Kelsey and Control , among others . But they only achieved great success with the single Shake It, which was released in 2008.

Mason Musso wrote the lyrics for Shake It, Kelsey and Control, among others. He repeatedly produced his own songs which he published on Myspace. The song A Girl Like You in particular quickly became popular with Metro Station fans. He wrote the song Kelsey for his girlfriend at the time, Chelsey Kay.
