Trace Dempsey Cyrus (born February 24, 1989 in Ashland , Kentucky ) is an American musician . He is the guitarist , songwriter and singer in the band Metro Station , owns a clothing company called "From Backseats to Bedrooms," and is the adopted son of country musician and actor Billy Ray Cyrus . Trace Cyrus is the brother of Brandi Cyrus and the half-brother of Miley Cyrus , Braison Cyrus and Noah Cyrus .

Life

Trace's mother is called Leticia Tish Cyrus (née Finley). His birth father is Baxter Neal Helson, but he was adopted by Billy Ray Cyrus. He spent the summers in his teens touring with Billy Ray. He once worked at a mall in Burbank , California before dropping out of La Cañada High School.

In an interview with MTV he talked about recording songs with Miley: “I'll even sing on one of the tracks on her next album. I can't say much about it at the moment, but we will work together. ”( " Actually, I'm going to sing on one of the tracks on her next album. I can't say much about it right now, but we will be collaborating. " )

Cyrus has tattoos all over his torso (including his neck), including the words "STAY GOLD" on his knuckles. He was engaged to Brenda Song until June 2012 . In June 2012, the separation of the two became known.

Ashland HIGH

In early 2010, Trace formed his newest band, Ashland HIGH. On the last single, "French Kiss", Trace shows his singing and guitar talents. He said on Twitter that he is working hard on his new album, which will be produced in his condo. Most recently he released demos of his two new songs, "Break It Down" and "Pretty Girls".
