Mastercastle is an Italian heavy metal band that was founded in 2008. Founding members were Pier Gonella , also the guitarist of Labyrinth and Necrodeath , and the singer Giorgia Gueglio .

history

After four years with Labyrinth , the guitarist and songwriter Pier Gonella left the band in 2007 and decided to start his own project and to work with the singer Giorgia Gueglio . Her numerous songs cannot be clearly assigned to any musical genre. As a result, Steve Vawamas ( electric bass ) and Alessandro Bissa ( drums ) joined the group.

In July 2008 a demo was recorded (four songs), which brought the band a record deal with the Lion Music label. In September 2009 the first studio album The Phoenix was released. On September 20, 2009, a CD for Spiritual Beast was released in Japan. In 2010, the second album Last Desire was released, which received good reviews in the trade press.
