Maté Fazekas (born January 19, 2000 in Győr ) is a Hungarian basketball player . He is in the squad of the German second division OrangeAcademy .

career

Fazekas left his hometown Győr at the age of 14 and moved to the youth department of the German Bundesliga club ratiopharm Ulm . In January 2016 he was awarded a five-year contract by the club. In addition to appearances in the youth field, from the 2016/17 season there were also game minutes with the Weißenhorn Youngstars, the Ulm youth development team in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB . He contributed to winning the ProB championship title in three games, after advancing to the second highest German division, ProAthe team was moved from Weißenhorn to Ulm and renamed the OrangeAcademy. In the summer of 2017, the Hungarian took part in the “Basketball Without Borders” training camp, which brought together some of the most hopeful young people in European basketball.

National team

Fazekas participated with the Hungarian U16 national team in the B-European Championships in 2015 and 2016.
