Mat.Joe is a German producer - duo from Berlin . Their music moves in the field of tech house . The duo consists of Johannes Schulz and Matthias Neitzke. They publish their music, among others in the House - labels Defected , Hot Creations , Mother Recordings and Katermukke .
Schulz and Neitzke grew up in Hanover . They later moved to Berlin. In her youth, rap, breakdancing and skateboarding had a formative influence on her. In 2008 they formed the Twomanics project . They produce hip-hop music under this name .
In 2016 both were nominated for the DJ Award as best newcomer.
The duo performs internationally, such as B. at Tomorrowland , Miami Music Week, in London and Berlin .
