Matas Narmontas

Matas Narmontas (born February 15, 1991 in Šiauliai ) is a Lithuanian chess player .

Life

After graduating from Romuvos Gymnasium Šiauliai, Narmontas studied chemistry at Vilnius University . He studied at the “Dubysa” sports school in Šiauliai. His trainer was Raimondas Narmontas .

At the World Youth Championship in the U10 age category he won in 2001 in Oropesa del Mar third. He was named FIDE Master in 2006 and International Master (IM) in 2013. He fulfilled the required IM standards in August 2008 at the Junior World Championship in Gaziantep , in the Lithuanian team championship 2010/11 and in August 2012 at an IM tournament in Panevėžys .
