Matchbook Romance is an American emo / pop-punk band from Poughkeepsie , New York , which was founded in 1997 and has been on a hiatus of indefinite length since 2007. It is not clear whether the band has de facto broken up or there will be efforts to work together again in due course.

history

During their active time, the band released an EP ( West for Wishing ) and two albums ( Stories and Alibis and Voices ) via Epitaph Records .

The song Monsters , which also appeared as a single again, was a great success in the USA.

In December 2006 Ryan DePaolo, the guitarist , left the band to pursue his own interests. He made his last appearance on December 22, 2006 in Poughkeepsie.

On March 12, 2007, the band announced on their MySpace page that they would from now on go their separate ways. Nevertheless, at the end of 2007, “Monsters” still appeared on the music game “Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock” as a bonus track.
