Matej Jovan (born April 15, 1970 in Radovljica ) is a former Slovenian ski racer .

At the Junior World Championships in 1989 in Aleyska , he won the silver medal in the combined and the bronze medal in the Super-G - at that time still starting for Yugoslavia . Jovan won his first points in the World Cup on January 27, 1996 with 13th place in the slalom in Sestriere, which was also his best World Cup result. He was only able to score once more on December 17th of the same year with 20th place in the slalom of Madonna di Campiglio . The 1995/96 season he finished 119th overall and the following 1996/97 season 116th. In 1995 Matej Jovan became Slovenian champion in downhill and combined. He ended his international career in 1997; the next year he took part in the Slovenian championships.
