Palace of Queluz

Mateus Vicente de Oliveira (* 1706 in Bacarena , † 1786 in Lisbon ) was a Portuguese architect of the Baroque and Rococo .

He was a student of Johann Friedrich Ludwig and Jean-Baptiste Robillon when building the palace of Mafra . The royal palace in Queluz was built according to his designs . In 1779 he created the plan for the Basílica da Estrela in Lisbon, but he did not live to see its completion.
