The so-called mathematical paper (also network paper or functional paper ) is provided with a special print of a coordinate network. It is used in mathematics or geometry to display curves and points according to coordinates . The best known form is squared paper, colloquially also called squared paper .

The ability to create graphical representations from spreadsheet programs reduces the importance of such drawing aids (however, the representation of data on logarithmic scales is still important and useful).
