The Mather Peninsula is up to 75 meters high peninsula on the Ingrid Christensen Coast of the East Antarctic Princess Elisabeth country . It protrudes into the group of Rauer Islands on the banks of Prydz Bay .
The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named them after the seismologist Keith Benson Mather (1922-2003), head of the 1957-1958 campaign of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions .
