Mathilde Peak

The Mathilde Peak is a 420  m high mountain on South Georgia in the South Atlantic . It rises southeast of Mount Barren and northeast of McIlroy Peak behind the Husvik whaling station in the Busen region .

The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 2013. It is named after the whaler Mathilde , one of the first whaling ships in Husvik.
