Mathisenskaget ( Norwegian ) is a 2260 m high mountain in the Heimefrontfjella of the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It is the most south-westerly elevation of the Sivorgfjella .
Scientists from the Norwegian Polar Institute named it in 1985. It is named after the Norwegian brothers Franz Edvin Mathisen (1903–1943) and Alfred Mathisen (1907–1941), resistance fighters against the German occupation of Norway in World War II . Alfred was executed by the occupiers, Franz died during his imprisonment.
