vegetation

The vegetation on the mountain slopes here in the high-montane to subalpine level (around 1200 to 2000 meters) is determined by the zonal coniferous forest. The spruce, with its pointed crown, dominates the tree layer. Partly through human support, humid, nutrient-rich and base-rich sites are now planted with sycamore. Rowan berries can also be found in the forest on poorer and more acidic soils.

Depending on the geological subsoil, the nature of the soil and the altitude, the forest-free areas, especially on the southern slopes, have a small-structured and species-rich herbaceous vegetation.

There are alpine stone quendel, mountain thistle, blueberry , spring gentian, common cow flower, autumn heather, rust-leaved alpine rose , hot buttercup, silver thistle and the like. a.
