Matt Greenhalgh

Matt Greenhalgh (* in Salford , England ; actually Matthew Greenhalgh ) is an English screenwriter .

Life

Greenhalgh began his career writing a screenplay for the television series Clocking Off in 2002. This was followed by episodes of Burn It and an episode of Cold Feet . He not only wrote the book for the television film Legless (2005), but also directed it. The widow of singer and guitarist Ian Curtis of the English post-punk band Joy Division , Deborah Curtis, provided Touching from a Distance, the book for the award-winning drama Control , which Greenhalgh won numerous nominations and film awards in 2007. Greenhalgh's script for Nowhere Boy describes John Lennon's time as a young adult and his journey to fame.
