Matthew Strazel (born August 5, 2002 ) is a French basketball player .

career

Strazel received his basketball training at Marne-la-Vallée Basket, a partner club of the French first division club ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne , before moving to ASVEL's youth department. In June 2019 he and other players from several European countries were invited to the talent scouting event "Basketball Without Borders" in Riga .

In the 2019/20 season he was used for the first time by ASVEL's men's team in the French first division and in the EuroLeague . In one of his first professional appearances, Strazel caused a stir in the EuroLeague match against Vitoria at the end of October 2019 and scored nine points in around 13 minutes.
