Matthias Andrae

Matthias Andrae (born March 26, 1961 in Berlin ) is a German politician of the FDP .

After attending the polytechnic high school , Andrae completed two apprenticeships as a vehicle fitter and a master in transport engineering.

In 1989 Andrae joined the CDU . There he held the office of the local association chairman and the deputy MIT chairman, he was also a member of the district executive committee. From 1990 to 1999 he was a member of the district assembly in Marzahn , from 1998 he was parliamentary group chairman, after having been deputy since 1995. In 1999 he was elected to the Berlin House of Representatives via the Marzahn district list, from which he left again in October 2001. Shortly before leaving, he moved to the FDP in July 2001 .
