Matthias Bauer
Matthias Bauer (born December 13, 1962 in Dortmund ) is a German philologist , film and media scholar and has been a professor of modern German literature at the University of Flensburg since 2007 (as of 2014).
Career
From 1981 to 1987 , Bauer studied German , journalism and history at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz . In 1987 he completed his studies with a master's degree with distinction . His doctorate, scl , took place in 1992, with his dissertation in the foxhole of stories. Anatomy of the picaresque novel was awarded the research award from the Friends of Mainz University. In 2002 the habilitation followed with the thesis Gravity and Recklessness. Creative drawing activities in the intermediate field of science and literature . Since 2007, Bauer has been teaching at the Institute for German Studies at the University of Flensburg.
