China Cargo Airlines ( Chinese 中国 货运 航空公司 ) is a Chinese cargo airline based in Shanghai and based at Shanghai Hongqiao Airport .
history
China Cargo Airlines was founded as a joint venture between China Eastern Airlines (70%) and China Ocean Shipping (30%) on July 30, 1998. At that time it was the first pure cargo airline in China. Since 2004 it has been an independent subsidiary of China Eastern Airlines. With the acquisition of Great Wall Airlines and Shanghai Airlines and a restructuring, the parent company China Eastern Airlines has bundled all freight activities since January 1, 2011 in China Cargo Airlines.
