history

The company was a joint venture of Beijing Aerospace Satellite Application Corporation, Singapore Airlines Cargo and Dahlia Investments Pte Ltd from Singapore. In March 2010, China Eastern Air Holding Company acquired a 51% stake in the airline from Beijing Aerospace Satellite Application Corporation. In spring 2011, Great Wall Airlines was merged with the cargo activities of China Eastern and Shanghai Airlines Cargo to form China Cargo Airlines .
