Singapore Airlines Cargo was a cargo airline from Singapore with base on the Singapore airport . It was a subsidiary of Singapore Airlines and a member of the WOW aviation alliance . Now it flies under the name of Singapore Airlines.
history
Singapore Airlines Cargo was outsourced from Singapore Airlines in 2001 as an independent company. At the beginning, she rented cargo planes from Singapore Airlines as well as the cargo hold capacities of her passenger planes . The first circumnavigation service was launched at the end of October 2001. In 2006, Singapore Airlines Cargo acquired a 25% stake in the then newly founded Chinese cargo airline Great Wall Airlines from Shanghai , which has since been merged into China Cargo Airlines . On May 19, 2017, the airline announced that it would reintegrate its cargo fleet into the parent company Singapore Airlines by the beginning of 2018. Seven of the formerly up to 17 Boeing 747-400Fs will continue to operate there.

Singapore Airlines Cargo operates global cargo flights from its hubs in Singapore , Brussels and Sharjah , serving airports in Africa , Asia , Europe , North America and Oceania . German-speaking destinations are currently Frankfurt am Main , Munich and Zurich .
