Matthias Baumgartner

Matthias Baumgartner (born February 20, 1865 in Schretzheim , † June 22, 1933 in Breslau ) was a German philosopher .

Life

He completed his studies in philosophy and natural sciences in Munich and Breslau in 1892 with a doctorate from the University of Munich. After his habilitation in 1896, he was appointed full professor at the University of Freiburg in 1897 . In 1901 he was given the full professorship for Catholic philosophy in the Philosophical Faculty of the University of Breslau, which he held until his retirement in 1924. He was buried in Schretzheim.
