Matthias Bongard

Matthias Bongard (born May 2, 1961 in Iserlohn ) is a German radio presenter at WDR .

Life

Bongard grew up in Meinerzhagen . After his community service he became a bookseller and practiced this profession for three years. He then studied sport and geography at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster .

He has been working for Westdeutscher Rundfunk , initially as an intern, since 1990 and initially moderated on WDR television before he was on the air on Eins Live and later on WDR 2 with " Servicezeit ", " Westzeit " and " Zwischen Rhein und Weser " . In the meantime he also moderated the program “ daheim + on the go ” on WDR television . At WDR 5 he moderated the “city talk”, at WDR 2 he can only be heard occasionally in “ MonTalk ”. Since January 2012 he can be seen on television again: He moderates the weekly culture magazine " West ART " on WDR television.

Matthias Bongard is married and lives in Dortmund . He is an avowed fan of Borussia Dortmund and deliberately mentions this regularly in his presentations and at events.
