Matthias Dießl (born December 6, 1975 in Fürth ) is a German local politician ( CSU ). He has been the District Administrator of the Middle Franconian district of Fürth since 2008 .

Career

After graduating from high school in 1995 at the Wolfgang-Borchert-Gymnasium in Langenzenn , Dießl trained as a banker at the Stadtsparkasse Fürth between 1996 and 1998. For the next two years he worked in the bank's Fürth branch as a customer advisor and assistant to the branch manager. In autumn 2000, he moved to the corporate loan department and from July 2002 was a consultant for start-ups and start-ups. Between 1998 and 2004 he completed a degree in business administration at the Fernuniversität Hagen , which he completed with a degree in business administration.

Dießl began his political career at the Junge Union in Seukendorf , where he served as local chairman from 1997 to 2000. Then he moved to the head of the Seukendorfer local association of the CSU . In the local elections in the spring of 2002 he was elected third mayor of his home town and took on a first political mandate in the district council of the Fürth district. In 2005 he was elected by the CSU district association Fürth-Land as its chairman and in 2007 he took over the chairmanship of the CSU district parliamentary group.

After Gabriele Pauli's announcement in March 2006 that she would not be available again as a district administrator candidate, Dießl was nominated by the CSU. In the local election on March 2, 2008 , he prevailed against his challengers with 50.31% of the vote.

In the local elections on March 16, 2014, he was confirmed in office with 68.23% of the votes.

Matthias Dießl has been the political spokesman for the Tourism Forum of the European Metropolitan Region of Nuremberg since 2012. Since 2012 he has also been the 2nd Chairman of the Bavarian Municipal Employers' Association

In the Bavarian District Association he is a member of the executive committee, member of the committee for finance and savings bank issues and the committee for law and education and, since 2014, also chairman of the Central Franconian district association. Since March 2016 he has been the 1st chairman of the working group bicycle-friendly municipalities in Bavaria eV

Since 2008, he has been the first chairman of the 1-2-3 eV association - a network for prevention in the Fürth district. Since 2009 he has been the first chairman of the Fürth district association for horticulture and land maintenance.
