Dietrich Sommerschuh (born April 7, 1935 ) is a former German local politician of the SPD . From July 1, 1972 to April 30, 1990, he was District Administrator of the Fürth district .

Life

Professional career

Sommerschuh is a business graduate . In 1963 he graduated from the Wirtschafts- u. Faculty of Social Sciences at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg presented his doctoral thesis on the subject of the issue price when issuing young shares in large industrial companies .

Political career

Sommerschuh won the district election in 1972 after the regional reform in Bavaria with over 60% of the votes against the CSU candidate Freiherr von Landsberg-Velen with 38.9% of the votes (the nationwide upswing of the SPD since Willy Brandt in 1969 probably also contributed to the result Became Federal Chancellor). He replaced Heinrich Löffler . He also campaigned for the reconstruction of Cadolzburg . A special concern of his was the promotion of customs. The district honored him with the ring of honor.

In the local elections in 1990, Sommerschuh lost his office to Gabriele Pauli (* 1957, until 2007 CSU ).

After the reunification of Germany, Sommerschuh was managing director of the Saxon District Council from June 16, 1992 to July 31, 1994 .

In the years 2000/2001, Sommerschuh was a member of a committee set up by the regional synod to clarify a financial affair of the Protestant Church in Munich.
