Matthias Enghuber

Matthias Enghuber (* 2. July 1984 in Ingolstadt ) is a German politician of the CSU . In the state elections on October 14, 2018 , he was elected to the Bavarian state parliament as a direct candidate in the constituency of Neuburg-Schrobenhausen . Enghuber received 34.6 percent of the first votes.

After graduating from Descartes high school in Neuburg in 2003 , Enghuber studied political science, history and education at the Catholic University of Eichstätt . In 2008 he graduated with a Master of Arts .

In 2008/2009 he worked as a research assistant at the Academy of the Hanns Seidel Foundation in the field of education and school policy. Since 2009 he was federal constituency manager of the CSU. From 2014 to 2018 he was Horst Seehofer's district officer . After he no longer ran for the Bavarian State Parliament due to his new position as Federal Minister of the Interior , Enghuber was an applicant for the CSU in its former constituency, which he then won. Enghuber is also a member of the Committee on Labor and Social Affairs, Youth and Family and a member of the Committee on Local Affairs, Internal Security and Sport.
