Matthias Lust (born April 27, 1970 in Heilbronn ) is a former German soccer player and today's coach . He was used in midfield and as a full-back.
Career
Lust played for the Stuttgarter Kickers and the SpVgg 07 Ludwigsburg before he made his first Bundesliga appearances in the 1990/91 season for the Karlsruher SC . In 1991/92 he played in the 2nd Bundesliga for SV Waldhof Mannheim . In 1992 he moved to 1. FC Saarbrücken , where he played for three years in both the first and second leagues.
Then SpVgg Unterhaching signed him . With the Munich suburbs, he rose to the Bundesliga in 1999 . However, Lust had signed early on with the relegated VfL Bochum , with whom he was able to rise again in the following season. In Bochum, however, Lust was not a regular player and went back to Unterhaching in winter 2001 , where he played until 2005. He then worked as a youth coach at SpVgg. In October 2007, after Werner Lorant's dismissal, he was promoted to assistant coach of the first team, where he assisted Ralph Hasenhüttl .
When Ralph Hasenhüttl was on leave of absence from SpVgg Unterhaching on February 22nd, 2010 , Matthias Lust briefly took over the post as head coach of the first team. After Klaus Augenthaler was signed up , Lust again acted as an assistant coach. He was dismissed together with Klaus Augenthaler and the goalkeeping coach Rainer Berg at the time at the end of the 2010/11 season.
For the 2015/16 season he moved to Dynamo Dresden , where he works as an assistant and U19 coach.
