Matthias Machwerk (born September 8, 1968 in Prenzlau ) is a German author and cabaret artist .

Life

After political engagement and studying political science at the TU Dresden , Machwerk began working as an author. He wrote texts for the children's channel (KiKA), for various cabaret artists, ensembles ( Die Kneifzange , Die Stachelschweine , Breschke & Schuch, etc.) and he produced a comedy series for the radio. After the founding of the Dresden Comedy & Theater Club in 2002, the first appearances followed. Machwerk, who began as an autodidact , has been a professional solo cabaret artist since 2005. He tours regularly through Germany , played in Switzerland , on the ships of AIDA Cruises and was seen on NDR and MDR . Matthias Machwerk is now working as an author more often again. He produced the fairy tale CD Lord of the Fog . He wrote the well-known song of the Uckermark . Machwerk bundled its best texts in the book Women think differently, men don't . He wrote for the cabaret theater Leipziger Funzel , produced the cabaret artist Frau Andrea, the artist Lilly Layne and wrote several articles for the magazine liberal and for the magazine of the Techniker Krankenkasse . Machwerk lives in Dresden .
