Matthias Meier
Matthias Meier (born February 12, 1880 in Vilsheim , † March 6, 1949 in Darmstadt ) was a German philosopher.
Life
After promotion to Doctor of Philosophy in Munich on 8 March 1909 and the Habilitation in 1914 at the University of Munich where he became a lecturer . In 1920 he became an associate professor . In 1925 he became a full professor in Dillingen an der Donau . On December 23, 1926 he became associate professor of philosophy on scholastic foundations, director of the Institute for Philosophy and Psychology ( TH Darmstadt ). In 1929 he became the holder of an extraordinary professorship in philosophy, education and psychology (TH Darmstadt). On November 1, 1930 he became a full professor of philosophy, education and psychology (TH Darmstadt). From 1932 to 1934 he was Dean of the Department of Cultural and Political Sciences (TH Darmstadt). He was released on April 7, 1933. On March 29, 1934, the discharge was revoked.
