Matthias Ruef
Matthias Ruef (* 1745 in Volders ; † 1822 ) was an Austrian baroque painter .
He was a student of Martin Knollers and worked as his assistant on the frescoes in the Abbey Church in Neresheim and the Karlskirche in Volders. In 1779 he independently created the artistically and iconographically significant wall and ceiling frescoes in the Wiesing parish church and in 1784 the ceiling frescoes in the Kirchbichl parish church .
