Matthias Schmidt (cook)
Matthias Schmidt (born June 6, 1981 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German chef.
Career
Schmidt completed his cooking training from 2003 to 2005 in the Villa Merton with Hans Horberth in Frankfurt. In 2005 he moved to the Söl'ring Hof to Johannes King in Rantum on the island of Sylt and in 2006 to the food master shop at Martin Öxle's in Stuttgart.
In 2008 he returned to the Villa Merton in Frankfurt as head chef , which was awarded one star in the Michelin Guide . In 2012 the second star was added. He left the restaurant at the end of 2014.
