Hans Horberth

Hans Horberth (born May 21, 1970 in Mainz ) is a former German chef .

Career

After training at the "Deidesheimer Hof" in Deidesheim , Horberth switched to Helmut Thieltges in Dreis as a pastry chef at the Waldhotel Sonnora in 1990 . In 1993 he went to Johann Lafers "Stromburg" as sous- chef .

In 1995 he became head chef at the "Hotel Binshof" in Speyer . In 1998 he moved to the "Jagdhof Glashütte" in Bad Laasphe , where he was awarded a Michelin star in 1999. From 2001 to 2008 he was gastronomic director at the "Villa Merton" in Frankfurt.

From September 2008 to October 2012 he ran the "La Vision" restaurant in the "Hotel im Wasserturm" in Cologne, where he was awarded two stars in the 2012 Michelin Guide.

accident

In October 2012 he was run over and injured in a car accident in Cologne. In July 2013 "La Vision" was closed when Horberth was on sick leave. In May 2016 he announced that he would no longer be able to work as a cook because of the accident.
