Matthias "Mattes" Schrader (born October 5, 1967 in Hamburg ) is a German manager and internet entrepreneur. He is CEO of SinnerSchrader Aktiengesellschaft and Managing Director of Accenture Interactive . Schrader is a proven expert in digital transformation .

Life

Schrader grew up in the Hamburg district of Fischbek . At the age of 16 he founded Hamburg's largest school newspaper . After graduating from high school, he financed his computer science studies as an editor for various specialist journals, including Page . In 1996 he broke off his studies to found the digital agency SinnerSchrader together with Oliver Sinner.

Career

SinnerSchrader was founded in the early years of the internet age. The agency was profitable from the start and became one of the fastest growing representatives in the industry. After the dot-com bubble burst , business partner Oliver Sinner left the company, whereupon Schrader took over as sole chairman of the board in September 2002 . He prescribed a drastic downsizing of his agency and a clear focus on the core business . Under his leadership, SinnerSchrader developed into one of the few service providers who have established themselves successfully over the long term.

In 2017, Schrader announced together with other major shareholders that it would sell the majority of the shares in SinnerSchrader to the consulting firm Accenture. As a result, SinnerSchrader became part of the expanding Accenture Interactive business area , which focuses on digital customer experience services. In addition to his position at SinnerSchrader, Schrader took over the management of Accenture Interactive's business in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. He is responsible for the further development of sustainable digital strategies and the expansion of business activities in these countries.

Schrader is the founder of the Next Conference : The annual event is one of the most important meetings in the digital industry and is considered a leader in questions of transformation and its social and economic consequences. As the author of the book "Transformational Products", Schrader wrote the standard German work on the subject. He was honored with the Horizont Award in 2017 for his achievements .
