Matthieu Gauzin (born February 27, 2001 in Saint-Doulchard ) is a French basketball player .

career

Gauzin played in the youth of ASPTT Bourges, then CJM Bourges and Fleury-les-Aubrais . He was then trained at the Le Mans Sarthe Basket junior performance center and made his debut in the French premier league in the 2019/20 season after receiving a professional contract at Le Mans in May 2019. For the 2020/21 season, he was loaned from Le Mans to first division competitor Champagne Basket Châlons-Reims .

National team

At the U17 World Cup in 2018, he won the silver medal alongside Killian Hayes and Théo Malédon .
