Champagne Châlons Reims Basket is a French basketball club based in Reims and Châlons-en-Champagne in the Grand Est region . The first team has played in the top national division LNB Pro A since its promotion to the 2014/15 season .
history
Champagne Châlons Reims Basket, or CCRB was founded in June 2010 as a merger of the two basketball teams ESPE Basket Châlons-en-Champagne and Reims Champagne Basket and initially played in the second French league Pro B.
In the 2011/12 season Châlons-Reims reached the third main round rank in Pro B. The club was able to advance to the semi-finals of the playoffs, but was beaten there by Boulazac Basket Dordogne .
In the following season 2012/13, the third main round rank was reached again. In the playoffs you only had to admit defeat in the final against Olympique d'Antibes and could thus celebrate the runner-up in the Pro B championship.
In 2013/2014, the team led the Pro B table for a long time, but had to admit defeat in the semi-finals. At the same time, one applied for one of two wildcards for the top division LNB Pro A for the 2014/15 season .
The 2014/15 season, the first in the top division, ended with 17 wins and as many defeats in twelfth place in the main round.
