Théo Louis Maledon (born June 12, 2001 in Rouen ) is a French basketball player .

career

Maledon started playing basketball as a child with the Mesnil-Esnard club, then played for Rouen Métropole Basket and, between 2015 and 2017, for the team of the French national performance center INSEP in the country's third highest league, NM1. In May 2017 he won the Euroleague junior tournament with INSEP .

In the summer of 2017 he moved to the first division club ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne . After brief appearances in ASVEL's professional team in the 2017/18 season, he secured significantly longer periods of play in the 2018/19 season, was awarded ASVEL French champions and the best young player of the season in the French league. In April 2020, he announced his intention to participate in the NBA draft proceedings that same year .

National team

In the summer of 2017 he was U16 European champion with France and a year later U17 vice world champion. In February 2019, he made his debut in the French senior team in the World Cup qualifier against Finland.
