Matti Herola (born November 9, 1993 in Siilinjärvi ) is a Finnish Nordic combined skier.

Career

Herola, who started for Puijon Hiihtoseura like his brother Ilkka Herola , took part in the Universiade 2013 of the  Italian  province of  Trentino and finished fifth in the Gundersen competition on the normal hill. In the mass start competition he just missed a medal with fourth place.

After Herola started in the Grand Prix for the first time in August 2014 and was also able to get a point in Oberstdorf , he made his debut in the World Cup on November 29, 2014 at the home World Cup in Ruka . In the Gundersen competition on the large hill, he finished 39th. He scored his first World Cup point in the 2015/16 season when he finished 30th in Kuopio in February 2016 . In the overall standings of the season, he finished 59th. In the following year, Herola ranked 65th overall in the 2016/17 World Cup with two points .

He completed his last international competition in February 2018 at the Continental Cup in Eisenerz .
