Jens Frejd (born April 14, 1986 ) is a Swedish floorball player who can be used flexibly on the offensive. Frejd is under contract with the National League A club Floorball Köniz .

Career

Career start in Sweden

Frejd started his career at Torshälla IBK in 1997 as a teenager . In 2003 he moved to Kungsörs IBK .

Västerås IBF

After only one year, he moved to the next largest club, Västerås IBF, in the summer of 2004 . After a strong season in the offspring, the 2005/06 season was integrated into the first team.

Järfälla IBK

He scored 39 goals in 22 games and contributed 28 assists. With his 67 scorer points he got the attention of numerous big clubs from Sweden. The following year he moved to the Svenska Superligan club Järfälla IBK .

Västerås IBF

After two years with Järfälla, Västerås IBF was his next stop in Sweden's top division. This was also the return to his first club as a professional. He scored 29 scorer points in 25 games. After these strong performances again, he was associated with a move abroad.

Frejd in Switzerland

UHC Grünenmatt

On July 9th, 2009 the world association IFF confirmed the transfer of the Swede to the Swiss club UHC Grünenmatt . Last year's penultimate Grünenmatt was able to reach the playoffs with Frejd with a strong fifth place. Frejd scored 23 goals and 9 assists in 23 games, making him one of the league's most accurate strikers. In the following two seasons he was able to confirm his strong performances. He scored 45 points in 2010/11 and 51 points in 2011/12.

Floorball Tigers

After his constant performance, the floorball Tigers signed Frejd and his teammate Florian Flükiger. He signed a one-year contract with an option to extend for a further year. The Tigers preferred this option at the end of the season. Its overview as a center helped the Tigers with its numerous assists and goals to the playoffs. In the quarterfinals, however, they failed due to floorball Köniz.

In the 2013/14 season, Frejd once again confirmed his scoring qualities and won the main round with the Floorball Tigers. They advanced to the playoff final. In this, however, they lost the first four games against SV Wiler-Ersigen and were therefore unable to crown a strong season with a title.

HC Rychenberg Winterthur

The HCR had little impact on the offensive in the 2013/14 season. In order to plug this hole, HC Rychenberg Winterthur surprisingly announced the transfer of Sweden on April 18, 2014. With Frejd, the HCR reached the playoffs again, but failed in the quarter-finals at the eventual runner-up Alligator Malans .

Floorball Köniz

On April 21, 2015, Heinz Zaugg, Head of Sports at Floorball Köniz, announced the Swedes to move to Bern. He justified his move to Köniz with the chance to play for a title. In his first season he was able to build on the performances from the previous season and scored 57 scorer points. In addition, Köniz reached the cup final thanks to his goals in the semi-finals of the Swiss Cup. In the final, floorball Köniz GC defeated floorball 7-3. Frejd was able to celebrate his first title on Swiss soil.

In the second season with the Bernese Frejd could no longer build on the performances from the previous season. Nevertheless, he scored numerous goals for floorball Köniz. During the 2016/17 season, Frejd announced that it would be his last.

UHC Grünenmatt

On November 17, 2017, UHC Grünenmatt announced that the former player Frejd will start team training on December 1. He signed a contract until the end of the 2017/18 season.

Style of play

Frejd is a flexible player who primarily has his strengths on the offensive. He is one of the best power play and penalty players in the National League A. When it comes to penalties, Frejd is notorious for scoring his goals with a Zorro.
