Maud Barger-gelding
Maud Barger-Wallach (born June 15, 1870 in New York , † April 2, 1954 in Baltimore , Maryland ) was an American tennis player .
Career
In 1908, at the age of 38, she became the oldest woman at the time to win the American tennis championships, now the US Open . Molla Mallory took this record from her in 1926 at the age of 42.
In 1958, Maud Barger-Wallach was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame .
