Career

society

The 1.80 meter tall midfield and offensive player Franco belonged to the squad of the first division club Nacional Montevideo from the opening in 2003 until 2004 . In 2004 he played a first division game for the Montevideans (no goal). In 2005 he played on loan for the league rivals Club Sportivo Cerrito and knew how to convince. Overall, he ran there in the mid-season 2005, which was carried out during the transition to the European season system, 13 times (no goal) and 16 times (one goal) in the 2005/06 season in the top Uruguayan league. The year 2006 he spent again in the ranks of Nacional and was thus in the 2005/06 season with the "Bolsos" Uruguayan champions. He contributed to this with five first division appearances (no goal). According to other sources, he was used in a total of seven games during the two phases of his affiliation with Nacional. In the Clausura 2007 he was active again for Cerrito, where coach Edgardo Arias turned him into a center forward. He scored two goals in 13 completed first division matches. This was followed by a stop at the Montevideo Wanderers in Apertura 2007 . There he was largely ignored, but was used in three games. In both the Clausura and the Apertura 2008 he was back in the Cerrito squad. In the Clausura 2009 an engagement on loan with the northern Uruguayan club Tacuarembó FC followed. There he ran in 13 games and scored six goals in the Primera División . In the 2009/10 season he then played 14 first division games for Cerrito, in which he scored 13 goals. This made him the top scorer at Apertura 2010. During these four cadre periods, which had previously been held at Cerrito, a total of 24 goals were scored in 81 games. In January 2010 he moved to Argentina as part of a six-month loan deal with a purchase option to the Chacarita Juniors , for whom he could not score a hit in ten Primera División appearances in the 2010 Clausura. After at least six more second division appearances (three goals) for the team of Club Sportivo Cerrito in the 2010/11 season, he was loaned from there to the first division club Liverpool Montevideo in 2011 . In the 2010/11 season there are twelve league appearances (three goals) and two completed Copa Libertadores matches (one goal) for him . This was followed in the same year by another loan to the Montevideo club River Plate Montevideo , for which he played 19 times in the Primera División in the 2011/12 season and scored five times in the opposing goal. In 2012, Cerrito Franco gave up the Rampla Juniors , where he stayed until 2013. At the end of January 2013 Franco was reported to have moved to Brazil to Club Alecrim from the city of Natal . From there he moved to Sud América in 2013 and rose with the team at the end of the season in the Primera División. In August 2013 he moved on to Racing Olavarría . With the Argentines, nine league appearances in the Torneo Argentino A are led for him with three personal goals. He also played a game (no goal) of the Copa Argentina . At the end of November 2013, his move to Técnico Universitario was announced. For Apertura 2014 he returned to Sud América from Wanderers de Durazno. In the 2014/15 season he was used 27 times in the Primera División and scored twelve goals. In mid-July 2015, the Beijing Institute of Technology Football Club, competing in the second Chinese division, signed Franco. In January 2016 he joined the Uruguayan first division club Atlético Cerro , for whom he played in 13 league games (two goals) in the 2016 Clausura.
