Maurener Berg is a residential area on the outskirts of the town of Ditzingen in the Ludwigsburg district .

history

The name Maurener Berg is an old field name and is derived from the Mauer estate further north , which had owned there in earlier times. It appears in 1399 as uff murhaner berge , in 1503 uf dem murer berg , today also under the name of Maurenberg .

The residential area above the Glems Valley with houses in country house style and spacious gardens was built in the first half of the 20th century and is the largest residential area in Ditzingen outside of the closed development. It was already listed as a place to live in the Württemberg State Handbook of 1942 without formal recognition . The Ditzingen municipal council initiated the ordinary nomination procedure by resolution of January 10, 1961. After the approval of the main state archive , the Württemberg State Office for Folklore, the State Statistical Office and the State Surveying Office, the designation as a place to live was approved and publicly announced in accordance with Section 2, Paragraph 4 of the 1st Implementing Ordinance on the Municipal Code.

With the expansion of residential development in the so-called dump area, the built-up area has meanwhile almost completely moved towards the Maurener Berg.
