The Hofgut wall is in Strohgäu between the towns Münchingen , Schwieberdingen and Ditzingen situated within the boundaries of Korntal-Münchingen estate .

The Hofgutanlage with a Roman villa rustica , located in an excavation reserve , had been owned by the Hirsau Monastery since the 12th century . In 1318 the property went to the House of Württemberg , since 1497 the manor has belonged to the von Nippenburg family or their heirs.

Around 1600 the complex was expanded to include two half-timbered houses , one of which has a high, solid ground floor and a stepped gable . In front of the covered, two-armed flight of stairs are the remains of a Roman stone column.

Today, in addition to traditional agriculture, a composting plant and a recycling center are operated. In addition, turf and firewood are sold.
