Maurice Norland
Maurice Norland ( Maurice Marcel Jacques Norland; born July 30, 1901 in Auxerre , † May 18, 1967 in Migennes ) was a French long-distance and obstacle runner .
At the Olympic Games in Paris in 1924 he came in cross-country running in 15th place in the individual standings and won with the French team bronze. This race went down in sporting history as the heat battle of Colombes. Over 5000 m he was eliminated in the preliminary run.
In 1926 and 1927 he was national champion over 5000 m, in 1927 over 3000 m obstacle.
