Mauricio Prieto , full name Mauricio Prieto Garcés , (born September 26, 1987 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .
Career
society
At the beginning of his career, the 1.82-meter-tall defensive player Prieto was a member of the first division team River Plate Montevideo since 2007 . For the Montevideans he scored two league goals in the 2008/09 season. In the following 2009/10 season he was used 19 times (one goal) in the Primera División and at least four times (no goal) in the Copa Sudamericana . Also the first phase of the 2010/11 season "Darseneros" and ran 18 times (no goal) in the top Uruguayan league and twice (no goal) in the Copa Sudamericana. In March 2011 he moved to Kuban Krasnodar in Russia on loan in the current season . Without a league assignment for the Russians, he returned to Uruguay to the lending club at the end of July 2011. In the 2011/12 season that followed, he played 29 first division games and scored once in the opposing goal. He left River Plate Montevideo again at the end of the season and initially joined the Chilean club Santiago Wanderers on another loan . In June 2013 he extended his contract with the club from Santiago for another two years. This extension was also based on a loan deal with River Plate Montevideo. The transfer rights to Prieto in December 2014 were partially held by the Uruguayan and Chilean clubs. For the Chileans he made 114 top division appearances and scored six goals. He also ran 16 times (one goal) in the Copa Chile . At the end of August 2016, Prieto moved to Bolivia for Club Bolívar , for whom he has so far (as of July 15, 2017) played 33 league games (four goals) and three games (no goal) in the 2017 Copa Sudamericana .
National team
Prieto was a member of the Uruguayan U-20 selection in 2007 . With this he took part in the U-20 World Cup in Canada in 2007 and was used in the two matches against Spain and Zambia. He was also a member of the Uruguayan squad that won the bronze medal at the 2011 Pan American Games .
