Maurizio Angeloni (born May 15, 1959 in Teramo ) is an Italian director .

Life

Angeloni founded and ran as an independent playwright and director, the cooperative Il Volo dei Gabbiani (Dt. "Möwenflug") for which he and Alberto Bennati also wrote his first two films and directed. Pensieri invadenti… a Cesare Pavese was an experimental film in 1988 about a Turin poet with excerpts from his poetry, which was almost nowhere to be seen. Three years later his La ballata di Ren-Ham was about a group of young Romans who work in Assisi on vacation . This film received the special award at the 52nd Mostra Internazionale del Cinema di Montecatini Terme . La mia musica , created in 1992, suffered again from the moderate distribution it received. Kineo Film , founded by Angeloni, produced a short film by A. Simone in 1991 . Even Gabriel , his last film to date from 2001, rather represents a footnote of the Italian cinema scene.

As a theater director, he staged plays by William Shakespeare , Carlo Goldoni and his own plays; as an actor he played Eduardo De Filippo , Molière and Luigi Pirandello .
