Mauro Finetto (born May 10, 1985 in Tregnago ) is an Italian racing cyclist .

Career

In 2003, Mauro Finetto was the Italian runner-up in time trial and junior road racing . In the 2007 season he was third in the road race of the national U23 championship. He also took third place in the overall ranking of the Giro della Valle d'Aosta .

He then received his first contract from the 2008 season with a Professional Continental Team , the CSF Group-Navigare team . In his first year there he finished sixth in the classic Lombardy Tour and won his first competition on the international calendar in 2009 with the one-day race Hel van Het Mergelland .

After Finetto drove for Italian UCI ProTeam Liquigas-Doimo in 2010 and 2011 and finished his first Grand Tour with the Vuelta a España in 2010 as 77th, he was again under contract with smaller cycling teams in the following years . Among other things, he won the overall rankings of the Tour du Limousin 2014 stage races , the Sibiu Cycling Tour 2015 and the Tour of Slovakia 2016.
