Traditions
The original name Taousan could go back to the similarity of the hill with a hare, or it could have Turkish origin: tunç = bronze, or dağ şan = famous mountain (?). Every year the feast of St. Athanasius is celebrated with a dance on May 2nd and the Passion Play on Kathara Deftera is another specialty .
