Max Berz

Maximilian Berz (born March 7, 1845 in Ellingen , † May 10, 1915 in Munich ) was a German painter and art dealer .

Life

Berz settled down as a painter in Munich and married Kreszenz Reitmeier, who was born in Augsburg in 1831 and who was divorced from Krombach, who died in 1875. Sons from their first marriage were the painters Franz Krombach and Paul Peter Krombach, called Max (1867–1947). In his second marriage he married the Munich shoemaker's daughter Karolina Schaffner in 1882. From this marriage came the daughters Marie, Rosa and Pauline as well as the sons Karl Max Gustav, Fritz (the later painter Fritz Berz ), Karl, Richard, Ludwig and Maximilian.

In 1889 Max Berz registered in Munich under the company name Berz & Cie. an art institute for oil paints and prints, which he deregistered in 1892; From 1894 to 1896 he registered a lithographic printing company .
