Max Binnington
Max Binnington (actually Maxwell Binnington ; born March 8, 1949 ) is a former Australian hurdler who was also used as a relay runner because of his sprint strength .
Career
In 1974 he won bronze over 110 m hurdles at the British Commonwealth Games in Christchurch and came fourth with the Australian team in the 4 x 400 meter relay . At the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal, he was eliminated from the 110 m hurdles and with the Australian 4 x 400 meter relay in each case in the preliminary run.
In 1978 he won silver over 110 m hurdles at the Commonwealth Games in Edmonton and took seventh place with the Australian team in the 4 x 100 meter relay . At the Commonwealth Games in Brisbane , he was fifth in the 110 m hurdles.
Four times he was Australian champion over 110 m hurdles (1975, 1979, 1981, 1982) and once over 400 m hurdles (1975).
